Stats Perform introduces Opta Vision.
Stats Perform, the leader in sports data and AI, has released Opta Vision data feeds, an all-in-one solution for football metrics. Opta Vision will debut during the 2022–2023 football season, the company announced on Friday. It combines the tracking data from Stats Perform and the event data from Opta to create a “single, unified dataset.” The innovative strategy would employ Stats Perform’s Qwinn AI to augment the data.
The new solution produces tactical intelligence. The delivery of insights in real time. Opta Vision monitors trends off the ball and identifies notable players. The innovative strategy includes shape analysis, pass alternatives, and pass completion projections. Included also are pass option quality, predicted threat, and active run models.
Opta Vision’s data delivery procedure has five steps, according to Stats Perform. First, remote or stadium cameras gather match footage. Analysts capture precise event data using sophisticated software. Stats Perform’s third stage incorporates “live stadium tracking in-venue and remote tracking QA.”
Then Qwinn simulates AI. This creates fresh data points and predictive measures. Data points might include information on passes, player movement, proactive players, and more. Opta Vision’s feeds provide customers with improved performance information.
“Tracking data utilization has risen in recent years, but outputs have been confined to simple measures like Distance Covered,” stated Stats Perform’s Jens Melvang. Combining event football data and tracking data allows Stats Perform to produce “correct and meaningful insights”
Stats Perform’s Chief Product Officer, Nancy Hensley, said, “We’re pleased to offer the next generation of Opta data.” She said the company will integrate monitoring data, event data, and AI to gain deeper insights.
Hensley said that Stats Perform will help the performance analysis departments of clubs and the production teams of broadcasters find new trends and tell great game stories.
