Genting opens Resorts World Hudson Valley
Resorts World Hudson Valley offers top-tier gaming and hospitality in 50,000 square feet. It has 1,200 high-tech slot machines, and electronic table games are available.
“Resorts World Hudson Valley represents a shared vision that we, along with our partners in Orange County, had to create an entertainment destination that will attract hundreds of thousands of guests and visitors, while providing tremendous benefits to the local, regional and statewide community,” said Genting Americas East President Robert DeSalvio.
The plant will create 250 full-time jobs with an average annual income of $72,000, as well as several community benefits.
RWHV will pay $65 million in taxes and provide full-time jobs for community people. Resorts World locations in New York State have paid over $3.6 billion in taxes to support public institutions including schools, according to the source. The casino’s involvement in the Newburgh Mall’s rehabilitation plan will benefit the corporation and other tenants by attracting additional guests.
Resorts World Hudson Valley is Genting’s third New York casino after Resorts World Catskills in Monticello and Resorts World New York City in Queens. Genting invested almost $1.2 billion in these three sites, with RWHV receiving $50 million.
Resorts World announced exclusive guest packages before the December 28 grand inauguration. Genting Rewards offers free membership and more to players.
Resort World Hudson Valley’s exclusive offer can be seen at its permanent location at Newburgh Mall in Orange County and chosen from a number of possibilities at the grand opening on December 28.
“We are happy to open our doors this holiday season and welcome everyone to Resorts World Hudson Valley,” DeSalvio said at the grand opening.
